According to a report conveyed by Times of Israel via Army Radio, Egyptian army officers informed their Israeli counterparts that if Israel took care to avoid civilian casualties, Egypt would criticize but otherwise not try to prevent an IDF ground operation.

This report joins with a recent conversation between President Biden and Prime Minister Netanyahu, in which the President insisted on measures being taken to ensure the safety of the over one million Palestinian war refugees in the Rafah area but did not categorically rule out an operation altogether.
