During the protest at Ashdod port against the transfer of humanitarian aid to Gaza, two protestors and a truck driver were arrested following a fight that broke out between them.

According to the Police’s statement, as part of the protest, a few dozen protestors blocked the junctions near Ashdod port, when two of the protestors are suspected to have climbed onto a truck arriving on site, leading to a conflict including physical violence between the protestors and the driver, with the protestors being suspected of causing damage to the vehicle. Police officers arrested all three, and the Police says the event otherwise ended without irregular events.

The Police further stated that it would continue to allow freedom of protest and expression with the needed sensitivity, so long as it was done within the confines of the law, but would show zero tolerance towards any form of violence.
