Hotel owners claim that they are short thousands of workers for the upcoming Passover holiday season, due to their usual staff of Palestinian and Jordanian workers being largely barred from the country due to October 7, according to reporting by Calcalist.

According to the report, the hotel owners prefer that their quota of foreign workers be increased to meet the need, as has occurred in other sectors.

However, while the Finance Ministry is not against the idea, the IDF and COGAT are not in favor of entirely shutting Palestinians out of the Israeli economy, as they believe more employment moderates tensions, at least in Judea and Samaria.
