IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari made a statement to the media this evening (Wednesday), in which he referred to today's events in the war in Gaza and the north.
"Today the Chief of Staff held a situation assessment on the northern border, when they reviewed the preparedness of the defense and the attack and presented the plans for the continuation. We are very strongly prepared in the north and in all the fighting sectors," Hagari said. "We are in regular contact with the heads of the authorities and update them in an orderly manner.
"In Gaza, our forces continue to operate underground. It is an operation that takes time, both because of the security of our forces and because of the use of classified and new means. The operation takes time, and we will continue to do it until we reach wherever we need to go.
"Last night it was announced in the international media that intelligence organizations in the world, with an emphasis on the US, support the findings we published about Shifa Hospital. This is proof of the cynical actions of Hamas and the exploitation of the hospitals for terrorism and holding hostages. We will continue to destroy these terrorist infrastructures, without damaging the hospital infrastructures."
In response to a question about the expected reaction from Lebanon to the assassinations of senior Hamas officials last night and the explosions that took place in Iran today, Hagari did not give an answer and said that "I do not refer to the things you mentioned. We are focused on fighting Hamas, there are clear goals for this war that need to be achieved, and we will continue to work to achieve them. There are challenges in the north as well, and we thwarted them. We are ready everywhere, in defense and attack."
