Suspected assassination: a man was found lifeless today inside a car that caught fire on Rabbi Yitzhak Ben Hanan Street in Netanya. Residents of the area reported hearing an explosion before the fire broke out in the vehicle.

MDA teams that arrived at the scene pronounced the man dead on the spot, when his body was located after the firefighting operations. MDA emergency medic Oren Hadad said that "when we arrived at the scene, we saw the vehicle on fire. The fire brigade worked to put out the fire and when it was possible to get closer, we located inside the vehicle a human body with no signs of life and we had no choice but to determine his death."

The police informed us that an investigation has been opened on suspicion of murder, with the background apparently being criminal. At the end of the searches in the area it was said that remains of weapons were seized by the police saboteur. "The police saboteur examined the remains of the item, along with scanning the place to remove any additional risk to the public," it was reported. "At the end of the activity, he transferred the findings to continue extracting evidence at the forensics laboratories of the Israel Police, as part of an investigation that was opened to examine the background and circumstances."
