IDF Releases Names of Two Fallen Soldiers in Gaza

The names of two IDF fallen soldiers: Lt. Shai Ayeli from Ashkelon and Lt. Col. Tal Shua from Be'er Sheva.

Lieutenant Shai Ayeli, 21 years old, from Ashkelon, a cadet in the Gefen Battalion, the officers' school, served as a fighter in the special rescue tactical unit (669), fell in battle in the northern Gaza Strip.

His funeral will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023, at the Ashkelon cemetery.

Major General (res.) Tal Shua, 31 years old, from Be'er Sheva, a fighter in the 7071 Engineering Battalion, Kiryati Brigade (4), was killed in battle in the south of the Gaza Strip.

This brought the number of IDF fallen soldiers in the war to 471. May their memory be blessed

Three fighters were seriously injured in the fighting

In addition, a reservist in the 8104 Battalion, 'Ram' Brigade (179), was seriously injured in a battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

Also, a fighter in the Shaked Battalion, Givati Brigade, was seriously injured in a battle in the northern Gaza Strip. A fighter in the 12th Battalion, Golani Brigade, was seriously injured in a battle in the southern Gaza Strip.

The injured were evacuated to receive medical treatment at the hospital and their families were informed.
