Abductee's Father: It was not a Strategic Mistake but a Specific Tactical Mistake

Zvika Mor, the father of Eitan who was kidnapped at the party in Re'im conveys a message that he is ready to sacrifice the heaviest personal price for the people of Israel and the Land of Israel. He looks at the tragedy from a point of view of faith and receives strength from the Hasmoneans who gave their lives for the people.

Zvika Mor, father of Eitan who was kidnapped at the party in Re'im, conveys the message of the meaning of life preceding life itself. The people of Israel and the Land of Israel are the reason why our soldiers went to war and therefore, according to his words, he is not exempt from giving his life like the soldiers. Even after the tragedy that befell the three abductees, Mor suggests looking at everything with a comprehensive and non-specific view.

"Only those who were not fighters can judge them"

At the beginning of his speech, Mor sends a big hug to the families and a hug to the IDF "We embrace the families of the three abductees who were killed in the shocking accident. Especially our friend Iris Haim, who also follows the line of our message. We sent her many messages of encouragement and one of us even went to see her, tomorrow we will support her at the funeral that will be held at 12:00 noon.

"Another warm and supportive embrace we want to give to our friends, soldiers, fighters, officers, that they continue with all their might 'don't lean in your heart' don't hesitate without strength."

Mor points out that only those who have not been in the soldiers' situation allow themselves to judge them, "Only those who have not been combatants in the army can judge them, those who have been combatants know that even in a dry exercise there is such chaos with shouting and orders, even more so in a wet exercise, even more so in a war, even more so in a war that has been going on for 70 days, especially in a horribly crowded city under the most difficult conditions, you can't understand it until you are in this situation, they need to receive all the backup."

Mor adds "We trust the army, they will draw their conclusions, no one wanted to touch the abductees, after all they went out to fight for them too and were ready to give their lives for them."

"Military pressure is working, Hamas abandoned them and fled for their lives"

Mor points out that the military pressure helps "it is precisely the military, uncompromising pressure that brings us closer to the abductees. If we were privileged to have the three young men received in the arms of the IDF, we would celebrate in Yarkon Park. The very principle that Hamas abandoned them and fled proves that the military method works. There was no strategic mistake here, but a specific tactical mistake, the strategy is very correct and it will bring us closer to the abductees.

"Forum Tikva's message is that the treatment of the abductees will be done out of national honor and responsibility for the security of Klal Yisrael, the situation does not belong only to the families of the abductees, the security situation affects all the citizens of the country. We paid with much blood for the war and 'deal' is not a dirty word, the question is what it includes, a deal can to also have Hamas beg us to talk to them."

"There is no price that is too heavy to protect our country and our people"

Moore, with immense magnanimity, sees the life of the nation above all else. "From our point of view, the honest, national view is that we live in a country where every fighter who goes into battle basically announces that the people of Israel and the Land of Israel are more precious to him than his own life and I am no different from them.

"We are over 10 strong families and we bring with us the entire history of the entire nation of Israel, we understand what is at stake, the expression of the nation of Israel, the destiny of the nation of Israel and we are ready to give our souls to it. There is no price that is too heavy to protect our country and our people."

Mor describes the situation within the families of the abductees: "There are many silent families who do not say their position, some do not speak for security reasons, some because they are broken in pain and there are the families who are equivalent to our number who are noisy and have a lot of money. And we are working on that as well.

"It is important for me to point out that we did not leave the headquarters of the families of the abductees, there are very positive things that the headquarters does, there are volunteers day and night for the benefit of the families and this is blessed. We do disagree on the strategy. We have a conversation all the time, the best conversation is away from the eyes of the cameras."

"Every day I cry and regret what happened to my son"

Moore shares his personal feelings "On a personal level there is concern, there are thoughts, every day I cry and regret what happened to my son, but I don't let my private pain take over my mind and heart. I am not exempt from the war effort, we all devote our souls.

"There is one family that we learn from, the Hasmonean family that saved the people of Israel and sacrificed four sons for the sake of the people of Israel. If the value of life was more important to them than the rest then we would not be here today. We live for meaning, not live for the sake of living and meaning is to be a strong and faithful wheel in the cart of the people of Israel.

"We sanctify life and meaning, if you don't have something worth dying for, your life isn't worth much. We as individuals don't live for the sake of living but for the meaning that is poured into this life and then my life as an individual takes on meaning, we have full confidence in God that what is supposed to happen happens and we do our best."

"The state gives us everything, logistically and mentally"

"The personal pain is mixed with the national cause, we are all mobilized. If not for my private situation, I would be with my friends now in Khan Yunis. Miracles will happen through our fighters. There is a difference between a miracle above nature and a miracle in nature. At the Exodus from Egypt, God told us to stand aside and he arranged everything. Today, redemption happens within nature, God trusts us and directs the processes through us. The great miracle appears through the fighters on the battlefield and the men and women fighters on the home front. And this is a higher level of the miracle because we are partners in it."

At the end of his speech, Zvika Mor thanks the State of Israel "I think I should add that the State does everything for us, at the headquarters, Gal Hirsch assigned us an officer to accompany us, they appointed a couple from Hebron who handles the bureaucracy for us, and there is welfare that supports us. The State gives us everything we need both logistically and mentally. We are confident in the rightness of our way and believe that this voice of the people of Israel and the Land of Israel, above all, is deeply embedded in each of our fighters on the front and in the rear. Together we will win."
