The IDF Operates in Jenin for More Than 30 hours, 6 Terrorists Eliminated

In a joint operation lasting more than 30 hours, the IDF, the Shin Bet and the Border Police in Jenin. The forces searched over 400 buildings, detained suspects, confiscated weapons, ammunition, and destroyed many terrorist infrastructures. Palestinians report 6 deaths.

The IDF spokesperson stated that the IDF, Shin Bet, and Border Police forces operated throughout Judea and Samaria tonight and arrested 17 wanted terrorist operatives, 7 of whom are associated with the terrorist organization Hamas.

In an activity that lasted more than 30 hours, IDF reserve fighters, Yamas, Border Police, and engineering forces under the direction of the Shin Bet and the Military Intelligence Directorate operated in a counter-terrorism operation under the command of the Menashe Brigade in the Jenin refugee camp.

So far, the forces have searched hundreds of buildings and detained hundreds of suspects for questioning. About 30 weapons, a lot of ammunition, military equipment and many weapon parts were confiscated. In addition, six laboratories for the production of explosives were destroyed, several underground shafts located in the camp, four observation posts and many areas are being searched. The Palestinians report six deaths from the arrests and the activity in the city. The forces continue to operate even at this time.

Activity also in the Binyamin, Samaria, and Hebron

In another operation in the Al-Am'ari refugee camp in the Binyamin Brigade, a Kalashnikov-type weapon was confiscated. In addition, a wanted person was arrested in Kfar Rahima, a gun was found, and a lot of terrorist money was confiscated. During the operation of the forces in the village of Beit Iba in the Samaria division, a gun, ammunition, and two pistols were found.

The forces also operated in the city of Hebron, arresting four wanted persons and finding weapon parts. In an activity in the city of Qalqilya in the Ephraim Brigade, a suspect threw a bomb at the fighters, who responded by shooting and a hit was detected. In the operation to confiscate illegal vehicles in the village of Turmus Aya, over 40 illegal vehicles were confiscated.

During the operation in the Jenin refugee camp, four IDF soldiers were slightly injured by shrapnel as a result of controlled explosions and fire by our forces, they received medical treatment in the field and were evacuated to continue receiving treatment in a hospital. Their families have been informed.
