53 days after she was kidnapped by the terrorist organization Hamas and a day after her sons Yagil and Or Yaakov were released, last night (Tuesday) Merav Tal was released from captivity. Today the exciting photos of her return to Israel and her exciting meeting with her family are published. As a reminder, ten Israeli abductees were released yesterday, nine older women among them Merav Tal and 17-year-old Maya Leimberg.

Ten additional Israeli abductees are expected to be released today in addition to a number of Israeli abductees with Russian citizenship. Among those expected to be released today is 16-year-old Amit Shani, whose family informed Channel 12 that they received a message that his name is among the abductees expected to be released.

Earlier today it was announced that the terrorist organization Hamas announced that it is interested in four more days of truce, in exchange for the release of 10 abductees per day. They forwarded the proposal to the Qatari mediators. In addition, Hamas announced that they would release hostages with Russian citizenship today, outside the quota of 10 abductees in the deal, as a gesture to President Putin.

As part of the cease-fire agreement that was approved about two weeks ago, and spoke of a four-day cease-fire, the option of continuing non-combat was given in exchange for the release of hostages every day. Now it appears that Hamas, which has already exercised the option for the first two days, is seeking to extend and fill the quota, thereby releasing 100 Israeli hostages (women and children) in exchange for 300 prisoners imprisoned in Israel (female terrorists and minor terrorists).
