The 84-year-old abductee Alma Avraham was taken to the hospital in serious condition. Avraham was released this evening from Hamas captivity after 50 days, along with 12 other Israeli citizens, as part of the third phase of the ceasefire agreement.
Soroka Hospital in Be'er Sheva reported: "An 84-year-old woman who returned to Israel arrived by helicopter at Soroka University Medical Center of the Klalit Group. Upon her arrival, she undergoes an initial medical examination in order to assess her condition and the type of treatment required in order to provide her with appropriate medical treatment. These are sensitive moments for the families and for those who returned to Israel. We ask to preserve their privacy and dignity. We are happy for their return home and wish for the return of all the abductees."
In the headquarters for the return of the abductees, they tell about Alma: "A woman loved by everyone, accepts every person for who they are. She has hands of gold, her whole house is full of sculpture, painting and ceramics. Alma is a warm-hearted and talkative person, an open person, a conversational woman with wonderful mental flexibility, who always sees the world with optimistic eyes. She was kidnapped from her home in Kibbutz Nahal Oz."
