Following the government approval of the hostage deal, the list of terrorists set to be freed has now be made public.

The government, following a prolonged meeting last night (between Tuesday and Wednesday), decided to approve the deal with Hamas for freeing some of the hostages held in the Gaza Strip. Now it will be possible to appeal to the Supreme Court against the deal before its implementation, with the first hostages expected to be freed on Thursday.

According to the approved deal, Hamas is expected to free 50 of the hostages held in the Gaza Strip in stages over four days, all of whom will be children and mothers taken captive on October 7. Hamas demanded that the release only be of civilians and not soldiers, while Israel demanded they all be Israeli citizens. In exchange, Israel will free some 150 prisoners, female and minor prisoners who were not convicted of murder.

The list of terrorists to be freed was published this morning and includes 300 potential prisoners, perhaps for future deals. They include stone throwers, Molotov cocktail throwers, terrorists who participated in attacks, planned attacks and were stopped before or during the attack, all of them minors under the age of 18. The list of female terrorists includes those who stabbed but only wounded Israelis or assisted terrorist attacks.

In all, there are 300 terrorists up to the age of 18 on the list, including 33 female terrorists. 5 of them live in Gaza and the rest in Judea and Samaria (221) and Jerusalem (74). The terrorists will be allowed the option to return to their homes, Gaza, or abroad. 62 of them are affiliated with Fatah, 47 with Hamas, a few with PIJ, and the rest are unaffiliated.
