According to the AFP news agency, the IDF is ending its operations at Shifa Hospital as of this time. In addition, the New York Times reports that senior Israeli officials explained to the newspaper that the forces that entered the hospital compound provided food, humanitarian aid, medicine, medical equipment and even incubators to the hospital, similar to the reports of the IDF spokesman at 2:00 AM - the time of entry.

According to the IDF spokesman's announcement from the time of entry, "at this time, IDF forces are operating against the terrorist organization Hamas, in a certain part of the Shifa hospital. The action is based on intelligence information and operational need. The operation was not intended to harm the patients, the medical staff and the citizens staying at the hospital. The operation was preceded by an effort to evacuate the hospital from patients and those taking shelter, and even opened a special passageway from it. The hospital management was informed ahead of time about the entrance to the complex. In the continuation of the operation, incubators, medical equipment and baby food are expected to be transferred to the hospital."

In addition, the official said that the forces that infiltrated the hospital compound interrogated several people at the site, at least one of whom was identified as a Hamas operative who was in the hospital. In addition, the forces carried out operational investigative activities at the site, locating weapons and ammunition in the compound, and evidence of the existence of a military headquarters.

The official refused to give further details about the operational activity and clarified that when the forces leave, they will report the end of the activity there.
