After a month in which trains across the country also operated on Saturdays due to the war, the Ministry of Defense informed the Ministry of Transportation today (Thursday) that there is no longer a need to operate public transportation on Saturdays. Instead, shuttles will be operated for the benefit of the reservists.

As mentioned, in the last month Israel Railways increased the train traffic on the weekends, when they also operated during Friday night and throughout the Sabbath. Since the beginning of the war, trains have been operating on Friday evenings starting at 6:00 p.m. and throughout the night using the "full and go" method between Ben Gurion Airport and Central Tel Aviv stations, and between Ben Gurion Airport and Central Be'er Sheva station. At the Central Tel Aviv-Savidor station it was possible to continue to other destinations via the Ministry of Transportation's shuttles.

Also, on Saturdays between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., trains were operated with a frequency of one train every hour between the Central Be'er Sheva and Nahariya stations, stopping at Ben Gurion Airport, Central Tel Aviv-Savidor and Hof HaCarmel stations.
