A 30 year old foreign worker and resident of Thailand was determined to have died from drowning today (Monday) in a fish pond in Kibbutz Beit Alfa.

On-call paramedics of Hatzalah were called up to the fish pond due to a report of a drowning, but were unfortunately forced to determine the death of the reported 30 year old man found without signs of life.

Magen David Adom’s spokesperson reported: “At 14:37, MDA’s 101 dispatch received a report in the Gilboa area of a worker (a Thai foreign subject) who drowned in the fish pong in the Gilboa Regional Council. MDA medics and paramedics reported a 30 year old man without signs of life and determined his death.”

Adi Haim, a senior medic at Hatzalah, described what he saw: “When I arrived at the fish pond, I found a worker, a 30 year old man, taken from the water unconscious, without a pulse, and not breathing after having drowned. Unfortunately, at the end of medical tests, paramedics were forced to determine his death on the spot.”
