Yehonathan Maimon of Ofakim Killed in Gaza Fighting

The IDF Spokesperson has released the name of another IDF soldier who fell yesterday (Shabbat) in battle in the northern Gaza Strip: Sergeant Yehonathan Maimon of Ofakim. Maimon served as a soldier in the Nachal recon unit.

It was also reported that another Nachal recon soldier and a reserve officer in the armored corps were seriously wounded during fighting in the Gaza Strip. The IDF Spokesperson said their families have been informed.

Yesterday, the names of four additional IDF soldiers who fell in battles in the northern Gaza Strip were made public: Major Yehudah Nathan Cohen, a 25 year old company commander in the Givati recon unit from Shdemot Meholah, First Sergeant Gilad Nehemia Nitzan, a 21 year old Givati recon soldier from Shilo, First Sergeant Yonadav Raz Levinstein, a 23 year old Givati recon soldier from Eilat, and First Sergeant Lior Arazi, a 25-year old combat paramedic in the Shaldag unit from Givat Haim Ihud.
