The Target Bank

This is how the Target Bank is Built: Thousands of Soldiers and Artificial Intelligence

Intelligence forces construct a database of targets during the fighting, using artificial intelligence. The information is transmitted in real-time to the ground forces operating in the area and in collaboration with the Air Force.

Since the beginning of the conflict following the terrible massacre perpetrated by Hamas terrorists on October 7th, over 12,000 targets in the Gaza Strip have been attacked. Approximately 1,200 terror targets have been struck during the fighting. If you're wondering how such a target bank is constructed, here are the details.

The Target Management division within the Intelligence Directorate (Aman) comprises hundreds of personnel with various roles, including technological functions alongside interpretation, cyber, and research capabilities. Their objective is to significantly expand the target production to neutralize the capabilities of the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip. This division has been operating since 2019, with regular target production capabilities, and during the current conflict, they have produced hundreds of additional targets through collaboration with the intelligence community.

Many objectives were achieved in real time while fighting

The reliance on targets acquired regularly is complex, especially when the enemy behaves differently during wartime. Nevertheless, during the conflict, the enemy creates new opportunities, leading to the acquisition of new and diverse targets in the Target Management division. At the same time, it can be noted that about 90% of the threats that were examined and ruled out from being occupied by the enemy, were determined in real-time to not serve the enemy in the war.

As a result, the Target Management division has generated over a thousand targets in real-time during the fighting. This was achieved through a unique collaboration between the Intelligence Corps and the intelligence units of the Air Force, the Navy, and the Southern Command's Intelligence Center. Thousands of terror targets in the Gaza Strip were attacked. The division operates in various technological roles with regular soldiers and reserves, in addition to its capabilities in interpretation, cyber, and research, with the aim of expanding the scope of target production.

The intelligence agencies' use of artificial intelligence

For the first time, real-time intelligence information and targets are streamed according to the updated operational plan to the Southern Command's Fire Center and from there to the ground forces operating in the field. In cooperation with the Air Force and the Navy, hundreds of real-time attacks were carried out. The Target Management division utilizes advanced technological systems, including artificial intelligence, enabling the rapid and precise production of reliable targets.

In this war, artificial intelligence (AI) usage has been introduced. AI generates recommendations for the investigator through rapid and automatic extraction of updated intelligence, aiming to achieve precise coordination between the so-called identification recommendation carried out by intelligence personnel. This is alongside the "Pillar of Fire" project - for full access to the intelligence at the brigade and division level to close circles with fire immediately with the help of artificial intelligence systems.

In the significant aerial operation that took place last Friday evening, 150 underground targets were attacked while also targeting high-value targets. Intelligence organizations claim that members of the Hamas terrorist organization are not immune wherever they may hide.
