Basel wins bid to host 2025 Eurovision, beating out Geneva

The city was chosen thanks to the sustainability of its hall to ensure security, as well as available funding.

The Swiss city of Basel has won the bid to host next year's Eurovision, beating out Geneva, according to DW.

Per DW, Swiss public broadcaster SSR-SRG said that the choice of Basel and the St. Jakobshalle was based on criteria such as the suitability of the hall to host the event, sustainability and security.
