In April of 1506 in the city of Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, the "Lisbon Pogrom" took place, in which more than 3 thousand Jews were killed and massacred after being accused of heresy by the local Catholics. Now, in the shadow of the Swords of Iron war and the terrible massacre that took place on the Black Sabbath, the Jewish community in the city of Porto in Portugal is releasing a trailer for a film about the massacre that took place at that time in Lisbon, which will be released this April.

The script, which recreates the historical events that took place in Lisbon at the time, was written already in 2021 and was based on an in-depth investigation carried out at the University of Lisbon. Gabriel Sandrovich, the president of the Jewish community in Porto says that: "To know the massacre of 1506 in Lisbon is to know the events of October 7, 2023 in Israel and the historical events of the massacre that were carried out against the Jewish people all over Europe", and emphasizes that the only difference between the events is the weapon that was used.

The film, called "1506, The Genocide of Lisbon" comes out in chilling timing with the Swords of Iron war, and will be available to watch for free from April 19, exactly 518 years since the event took place.
