The Phoenix index measuring credit card purchases and use reports an increase of 12% in usage compared to the equivalent quarter last year, according to Globes.
Much of this increase in the field of personal care, with a 24% increase in cosmetics purchases, 6% for clothing, 5% for eyewear. Meanwhile, appliances and furniture have experienced decreases.
Globes also reports that after a brief surge of online purchases overtaking physical purchases, people have returned to flock to the stores and online buying is back to its "normal" proportions.
A similar tendency emerged with more people buying at stores near their home and avoiding malls further out at the beginning of the war. Now, people are back to packing the malls.
Fast food also enjoyed a surge at the expense of more solid restaurants at the beginning of the war, but people are now back to eating out as they used to before the war.
