With Israel bracing for an expected Iranian attack in revenge for the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh on Iranian soil, the Israel Museum has moved dozens of rare items into a safe room.

According to Itamar Eichner at Ynet, the museum did this for fear of being struck by projectiles from Iran or Lebanon. The report also stated that among the works removed and transferred to a safe room were the paintings of Paul Gauguin, Vincent Van Gogh, and Paul Cezanne.

Tourists and visitors to the museum will see that a sign saying "temporarily removed" has been hung in place of the exhibits themselves.
