This evening (Sunday), a man approximately 50 years old was killed following an explosion of a truck on Lahi Street in Tel Aviv. Paramedics and EMTs from MDA who were called to the scene found him unconscious with no signs of life and severe multi-system trauma, and pronounced him dead at the scene. Another man, aged 33, was moderately injured and taken to Ichilov Hospital with injuries to his limbs and chest from shrapnel.

MDA paramedic Nitzan Farj reported, "We were called to the location after civilians heard a loud explosion. When we arrived, we saw the truck on fire and a man in his 50s lying unconscious with severe multi-system trauma. After medical examination, he had no pulse or breathing, and we had no choice but to pronounce him dead at the scene."

The police have reported that numerous forces, including bomb disposal experts, have arrived at the scene and begun collecting evidence, with the road closed to traffic. The background of the incident is believed to be criminal.
