Released for publication: a man in his thirties from the center of the country was arrested last night (Sunday) on suspicion of publishing incitement to terrorism on Telegram - including calling for the murder of Prime Minister Netanyahu. The suspect's arrest came after the joint effort of the ISA and the Israel Police's Cyber Unit in Lahav 433.
According to the announcement by the police, the suspect was arrested following an undercover investigation conducted by the ISA and the Israel Police. At this stage, the suspect's involvement in publishing the content is becoming clearer.
At the end of his interrogation, the suspect was released into house arrest, with the materials in his case to be transferred to the prosecutor's office.
The Israel Police and ISA reported that they "will continue to act with uncompromising determination to drive out incitement to violence and terrorism in the physical and virtual spheres."
