Paris, Anti-Semitism

Paris pediatrician’s office defaced with Nazi-inspired anti-Semitic tag

"These are the same words written on Jewish shops in the 1930s," doctor laments.

An anti-Semitic tag was found at the entrance to pediatrician Marc Snadjer's medical practice yesterday (Monday), in the 11th district of the capital.

The tag read "Jude", which is Jewish in German.

"These are tags that the Nazis used to put on Jewish shops in the 1930s," said Dr. Snadjer.

This act had a powerful effect on the doctor. " I thought of my mother, who I lost this past year, and I am at least grateful that she didn't have to see this, as it would have re-awakened very painful memories."

The whole neighborhood was shaken by this event and he has received many messages of support. Dr. Snadjer called the 11th district's City Hall, and they quickly came the same day to remove the tag.
