Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib won the dubious title of "2023 Antisemite of the Year" in a survey conducted by the Stop Antisemitism (@StopAntisemites) account on X/Twitter, beating out Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh and stridently anti-Israel model Gigi Hadid.
The survey included the votes of over 15,000 participants and took place over the course of a few weeks, with the result announced on the Megyn Kelly show yesterday (Monday).
In a pinned post, the account described the many ways in which Tlaib had earned the censure and condemnation of colleagues and foes alike in attacking the Jewish state, including spreading debunked claims about Israel bombing al-Ahli hospital during the war and committing genocide, and trying to explain "from the river to the sea" as a peaceful slogan:
