Jewish schoolgirls were targeted with the hateful chant “bomb the Jews” by a group of youths as they left a netball match in Barnet, north London, on Monday evening.

The Community Security Trust (CST) has expressed support for the victims, calling the incident an “appalling act of unprovoked antisemitic abuse.”

The Jewish school netball team had just finished their match at Ark Pioneer Academy and was leaving the school grounds when the group of youths began shouting at them.

One of the girls, who was filming on her smartphone, captured the moment a youth shouted “Bomb the Jews” at the team. The incident was reported to both the CST and the Metropolitan Police, who have launched an investigation.

The principal of Ark Pioneer Academy, Su Reddy, confirmed the school was aware of the incident and is working closely with the police to address the allegations. “We take any allegations of this nature very seriously,” Reddy said. “We are working with the police and other agencies to respond.”
