The graduation ceremony of the first-level technician course for soldiers from the Haredi sector took place yesterday (Tuesday) at the technical base in Haifa, as reported by the IDF Spokesperson.

In the course, the soldiers were certified to the level of A-level technicians on the F-16 aircraft. The technicians will serve in the Underground Aircraft Shelter (UAS), which serves as an operational center for fighter planes in the Air Force.

The UAS is located in the "Scorpion" (105) Squadron at the "Ramat David" base, and its establishment was made possible thanks to close cooperation with the Personnel Division and the "Tzurim" organization, and unique adaptations in the training and work environment.

The 26 technicians trained will ensure the operational readiness of the aircraft and the weapon systems.

This is the first training course for first-level technicians from the Haredi sector and is part of significant processes in the IDF that are designed to integrate young ultra-Orthodox students into the army, while making the necessary adjustments to maintain a religious lifestyle, such as separate accommodation, kosher lemehadrin, and the establishment of a synagogue in the UAS.
