The Land Enforcement Authority warned: "Anyone who builds a dangerous addition is putting their money at risk," hinting at the financial and safety risks involved in violating the law.

The Land Enforcement Authority issued a warning ahead of Sukkos regarding the illegal construction of sukkahs and temporary structures.

Key points:

- Temporary structures at height require building permits and engineer approval

- Violations can result in fines up to 600,000 shekels for individuals

- Corporations face fines up to 1,400 shekels per day for ongoing violations

- This warning doesn't apply to traditional ground-level sukkahs made of wood or fabric

The Authority cites the Planning and Building Law of 1965, which prohibits construction without proper permits. Officials stress the financial and safety risks of non-compliance.

This warning aims to prevent accidents and ensure public safety during the holiday season.
