An unusual incident during Shabbat: A woman entered a shul in the Mea Shearim neighborhood of Jerusalem last night, and suddenly began to attack people who were davening there and trying to stab them. Several citizens who were at the scene managed to remove the sharp weapon from her hand, and she left the place. As a result of her actions, it was reported that one person was lightly injured with a cut on his finger and did not require medical treatment.

In rapid searches by police officers from the Lev HaBira station of the Jerusalem district, the suspect was located with blood stains on her clothes. The suspect, described as a 50-year-old woman residing in the neighborhood, was arrested and transferred for questioning at the police station.

The police stated that the investigation of the incident continues, and this morning the suspect will be brought before the court for a hearing to extend her detention.
